Willem Ferdinand Abraham Isaac Vaarzon Morel was born in 1868 and got admitted to the Academy of Fine Arts in Amsterdam in 1888. During his life Vaarzon Morel lived in Haarlem, Arnhem and Oosterbeek, until he permanently moved to Veere in 1910.
Vaarzon Morel worked in a French post-impressionist style; he was a true colourist with an elegant hand. The painter is famous for his cityscapes and beach scenes in which he perfectly portrayed mundane life.
